Centre approves HDFC's proposal to raise addtional capital of 24000 crores

The Centre has approved HDFC Bank's proposal to raise additional capital worth Rs 24,000 crores by selling equity to foreign investors. This includes premium above the previous approved limit of Rs 10,000 crores, that the composite foreign shareholding in the bank shouldn't exceed 74% of the enhanced paid-up equity share capital of the bank, Piyush Goyal said.
