RBI scrutiny found no 'quid pro quo' loans by ICICI to Videocon: Report

A detailed scrutiny by the RBI 2 years ago revealed no 'quid pro quo' loans to the Videocon Group by ICICI Bank. The scrutiny was undertaken in 2016 after being told to do so by the PMO following allegations of Deepak Kochhar making huge gains due to his association with Venugopal Dhoot. In a response, the RBI stated that no conflict of interest could be established.

The only surviving suspect in the 2015 Paris terror attacks, which saw the killing of 130 people, has been convicted by a court in Brussels. Salah Abdeslam and co-defendant Sofien Ayari, were found guilty of terror activities and murder, after he opened fire on the police while in his flat in Brussels. Abdeslam however, refused to answer to the judge during the trial.
