Oscar-winning filmmaker slams #MeToo movement

Austrian filmmaker Michael Haneke has slammed the #MeToo movement, calling it a witch hunt. In an interview, Haneke said, "this new puritanism coloured by a hatred of men, arriving on the heels of the #MeToo movement, worries me." The #MeToo movement was started last year by actresses and other powerful women in Hollywood against sexual misconduct at work.

Techie run over by train on his wedding day

A 30-year-old man died after being hit by an express train on his wedding day in Nandosi village in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly district. The deceased was working as an engineer in a private firm in Noida. Eyewitnesses said he was talking over the phone when the Rajya Rani Express train crushed him to death. His marriage ceremony was set to take place later that evening.

German orchestra plays 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'

A German orchestra recently played tunes of Karan Johar's directorial debut 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' in Berlin. A short video of the performance by Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra was shared by several fans and Dharma Productions on social media. The orchestra performed at the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival. Karan is representing Indian cinema at the festival.
