Oscar-winning filmmaker slams #MeToo movement

Austrian filmmaker Michael Haneke has slammed the #MeToo movement, calling it a witch hunt. In an interview, Haneke said, "this new puritanism coloured by a hatred of men, arriving on the heels of the #MeToo movement, worries me." The #MeToo movement was started last year by actresses and other powerful women in Hollywood against sexual misconduct at work.

Anushka Sharma extends support to the POCSO Act amendment

Actress Anushka Sharma has extended support to the ordinance to amend the POCSO Act, which introduced death sentences for convicts in child rape cases. "The most severe punishment has to be vetted out to the people involved. So, I am in absolute support of it, 1000 percent. Child rape is the worst thing a human being can do," said Sharma while speaking at an event.

First poster of Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Sanju' released!

Makers of Sanjay Dutt's biopic revealed the first official poster confirming that the film is titled 'Sanju'. The film is written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film also stars Anushka Sharma, Paresh Rawal, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Karishma Tanna, Manisha Koirala, Jim Sarbh, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. The film will release on 29th June 2018.
