Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani was detained by the Rajasthan Police at the Jaipur Airport, thereby stopping him from going to Nagaur, where he was supposed to address a rally. Mevani claimed that he was going to Nagaur to talk about atrocities against Dalits in the state and was detained for no reason. The police reportedly detained him to avoid a law and order situation.
