Monsoon session: All you need to know

The Monsoon Session of the Parliament, which will begin on 18 July will be addressing various pending Bills and six ordinances. The session will also introduce new Bills within a span of 18 days.

According to the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar six ordinances will be taken up along with the 68 pending Bills in Lok Sabha and 40 in Rajya Sabha.

The Modi sarkar which sailed through comfortably in Parliament had the support of the AIADMK when the house voted during the no-confidence motion moved by the TDP. Following a 12 hour debate, the no-confidence motion introduced by the TDP and backed by the opposition was defeated with 325 MPs rejecting it. Only 125 MPs backed the motion.

The program will not have any specified text books or syllabus, but will involve classes where the students are taught about crime prevention and control, along with values and ethics.

After the rejection of the No Confidence Motion against the NDA, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked all the parties that supported his government. "NDA has the confidence of the Lok Sabha and the 125 crore people of India. I thank all the parties that have supported us in the vote today," he said, adding that the NDA's efforts to transform India will continue.
