Maharashtra: Hailstorm damages 1.25 lakh hectares of crops in 11 districts

Confirming this Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Pandurang Fundkar said."A primary damage assessment report has stated that over 1.25 lakh hectare of crops were damaged in 1,086 villages of 11 districts.

CBI questions Rotomac owner in Rs 800 crore loan default case

The Central Bureau of Investigation will take up the Rs 800 crore bank fraud case involving Rotomac. The Kanpur-based company's owner had taken a loan of more than Rs 800 crore from over five state-owned banks. Rotomac promoter Vikram Kothari took a loan of Rs 485 crore from Mumbai-based Union Bank of India and a loan of Rs 352 Cr from Kolkata-based Allahabad Bank.
