Veteran journalist S Nihal Singh passes away

Veteran journalist S Nihal Singh (88) passed away today following illness, his family members said. Singh breathed his last at the National Heart Institute. He was suffering from kidney-related ailments. Singh had worked with several leading newspapers including The Indian Express as its editor-in-chief, The Statesman as chief editor and Khaleej Times as editor.

A mentally disturbed woman allegedly beheaded her child, chopped his body and was found sleeping with it in outer Delhi's Aman Vihar area, police said. They said that the woman had decapitated her sons head using knives and mutilated the body using bricks. The incident happened late last night, when the baby boy was with his mother.

Ministry of Human Resource Development has invited applications for 'Swachh Bharat Summer Internship' (SBSI). Internship is open for students in higher education institutes. UGC will provide 2 credit points as 'elective' under Choice Based Credit System to those who complete SBSI. Registration for SBSI will be done through a portal which will be launched on April 25.

7-year-old sexually assaulted in Chhattisgarh school

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted at Raipur's Campion School in Chhattisgarh. The minor is saying that a 'bhaiya' had molested her.
