A study has found that, feeling stressed or anxious makes people more able to process and internalise bad news. The research reveals that a known tendency of people to take more notice of good news than bad news - the optimism bias - disappears when people feel threatened. People who were stressed were better at incorporating the bad news during the research.

Formula One team McLaren have declared that Renault driver Carlos Sainz would replace the departing member, Fernando Alonso, in their squad. The F1 team took to Twitter and posted a photo of Sainz along with the induction announcement. 37-year-old driver, Fernando Alonso, won the F1 world championship titles with Renault in 2005 and 2006.

Raksha Bandhan is observed on the Purnima tithi during Shukla Paksh in Shravana month. This year it will be celebrated on August 26. It is considered that the rakhi should not be tied during the Bhadra timings. However, no Bhadra will be observed on Rakhi day this year. But the Rahu Kaal, Chaughariya and Yam Ghanta timings also need to be avoided.
