Himanta Sarma appointed as vice-president of BAC

Himanta Biswa Sarma has been elected unanimously as the vice-president of Badminton Asia Confederation (BAC) during the Annual General Meeting of the body at Bangkok, Thailand today. He is also the President of Badminton Association of India (BAI). Sarma, who is also the chairman of Para Badminton committee, will take over the post with immediate effect.

JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy will be flying to Delhi on Monday to meet Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his mother and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
