ED all set to seize Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi's assets

The Enforcement Directorate is swiftly moving to confiscate properties of Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi. The ED decided to approach the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court to seek that they be declared ‘fugitives' who had defied arrest warrants to stay abroad. Mallya's assets, worth Rs 9,000 crore, have been provisionally attached under PMLA.

Call full court to discuss future of SC

In a letter addressed to Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra two senior judges of the SC, Justices Ranjan Gogoi and Madan Lokur have called for a full court to discuss "institutional issues" and the "future" of the apex court. CJI Dipak Misra has reportedly not responded to the letter. The CJI had called an informal meeting last week which reached no conclusion.
