Third seed Alexander Zverev moved into the second round of the Rotterdam Open on Monday, but his brother Mischa is out. Tomas Berdych made it 18 wins from his last 22 matches in Rotterdam with a 7-5 6-3 win over Zverev's older brother Mischa. Monday's remaining match saw 2016 champion Martin Klizan beaten by Feliciano Lopez.

Some of these satellites will have strategic importance as they will be used by the military to keep an eye on the movements of India's hostile neighbours. In September, ISRO will launch a satellite, Gsat-7A, for the Indian Air Force for surveillance purpose.

In a step towards reducing the plastic burden of the country, Rajeshwari Singh, a 32-year-old woman from Vadodara, Gujarat has embarked on a 1,100-km walk from her city to the national capital on Sunday. The beginning of a long and arduous journey of Singh coincided with the Earth Day 2018 which was observed across the globe on Sunday.

Shiv Sena leader shot dead in Mumbai

Two bike borne men shot dead a Shiv Sena leader on Sunday night. Sanjay Sawant who was the Deputy Shakha Pramukh was shot dead at around 9.30 pm in Gokul Nagar on Akurli road in Kandivili (East). "Four rounds were fired at Sawant, who collapsed on the ground. He was taken to Shatabdi hospital but was declared brought dead," said a police officer.
