Congress President Rahul Gandhi today accused the government of "lying" to the nation on the issue of sharing details of the Rafale jet deal which was rejected strongly by Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling the charges "distortion of truth".
Modi urged Gandhi to not make such childish allegations on such sensitive issues having security implications.
The Modi sarkar which sailed through comfortably in Parliament had the support of the AIADMK when the house voted during the no-confidence motion moved by the TDP. Following a 12 hour debate, the no-confidence motion introduced by the TDP and backed by the opposition was defeated with 325 MPs rejecting it. Only 125 MPs backed the motion.
