Maldives crisis: Military throws MPs out of parliament

The Maldives military on Wednesday threw all the Members of Parliament (MPs) out of the Parliament building amid political crisis in the country. The development comes a day after the military personnel blocked the MPs from entering the Parliament. Last week, the Maldives govt had imposed an emergency in the country for a period of 15 days.

German orchestra plays 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'

A German orchestra recently played tunes of Karan Johar's directorial debut 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' in Berlin. A short video of the performance by Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra was shared by several fans and Dharma Productions on social media. The orchestra performed at the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival. Karan is representing Indian cinema at the festival.

Mumbai man drinks entire ketchup bottle, sets world record

Dinesh Shivnath Upadhyaya, a Mumbai-based Science teacher, has set a Guinness World Record by drinking an entire bottle of tomato ketchup. Upadhayaya drank a 500-gram bottle of ketchup through a straw in a record time of 25.37 seconds. He also holds the titles for the "Fastest time to peel and eat a grapefruit", "Most grapes eaten in three minutes" among others.

Coleman breaks world record in 60M

American sprinter Christain Coleman broke compatriot Maurice Greene's long-standing 60M world record when he ran 6.34sec seconds at the US Indoor National Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Greene had held the record of 6.39sec for almost 20 years. He first did it in Madrid in 1998 and equalled in Atlanta three years later.
