Oxfam deputy chief quits over sex scandal

British charity Oxfam's deputy chief Penny Lawrence has resigned over charity's failure to adequately respond to allegations of sexual misconduct by its staff in Haiti. Lawrence said she is taking "full responsibility" for the behaviour of the staff. As per a report, Oxfam staff hired prostitutes while delivering aid in Haiti after 2011 earthquake.

Two bike borne men shot dead a Shiv Sena leader on Sunday night. Sanjay Sawant who was the Deputy Shakha Pramukh was shot dead at around 9.30 pm in Gokul Nagar on Akurli road in Kandivili (East). "Four rounds were fired at Sawant, who collapsed on the ground. He was taken to Shatabdi hospital but was declared brought dead," said a police officer.
