Bajaj Auto Reports 9 % Growth In September 2025

Bajaj Auto recorded a solid 9 per cent year-on-year rise in total sales in September 2025, reaching 5,10,504 units. That comes after it sold 4,69,531 units in September 2024. Month-on-month, Bajaj's sales rose by 22.2 per cent from the 4,17,616 units sold in August.In the two-wheeler category, domestic sales grew 5 per cent. Bajaj sold 2,73,188 two-wheelers in India in September 2025, up from 2,59,333 in the same month last year. Exports also climbed 12 per cent: Bajaj shipped 1,57,665 units abroad, compared to 1,41,156 units the previous year. That made the total two-wheeler sales 4,30,853 units, an 8 per cent gain over 4,00,489 units last September.For commercial vehicles, things were mixed domestically but strong overseas. In India, sales dipped a little-52,064 units versus the 52,554 units sold in September 2024, a drop of 1 per cent. On the export front, the jump was serious: 27,587 units were shipped out, up from 16,488, marking a 67 per cent rise year-over-year. Combined, commercial vehicle sales hit 79,651 units, up 15 per cent from the 69,042 units sold in September last year.Combining both two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, Bajaj's domestic sales in September rose 4 per cent to 3,25,252 units, from the 3,11,887 units in the same month of the prior year. Exports climbed 18 per cent to 1,85,252 units, versus 1,57,644 units a year ago.Looking at April through September 2025 (the first half of the financial year), Bajaj Auto sold a total of 24,05,357 units (domestic plus exports). That is about 4 per cent more than the 23,23,560 units in the same period in 2024.In that stretch, domestic two-wheeler sales declined 8 per cent, dropping to 11,25,920 units from 12,19,298. But exports for bikes saw strong growth at 17 per cent, with 8,91,858 units shipped versus 7,64,827 earlier. That meant total two-wheeler sales across six months edged ahead 2 per cent to 20,17,778 units.For commercial vehicles in this half-year span, domestic sales slightly improved by 1 per cent to 2,49,681 units from 2,48,034. Exports jumped 51 per cent to 1,37,898 units, against 91,401 in the same period last year. Thus total commercial vehicle numbers rose to 3,87,579 from 3,39,435.Altogether in April-September 2025, domestic sales (both two-wheelers and CVs) stood at 13,75,601 units, down about 6 per cent from 14,67,332 units in the same period of 2024. Export sales meanwhile grew by 20 per cent to 10,29,756 units from 8,56,228 units.
