Chinese EV giant BYD has unveiled the second-generation Blade Battery, which brings a significant leap in both battery architecture and electric vehicle charging technology. BYD claims that EVs equipped with the new Blade 2,0 battery can charge from 10 percent to 70 percent in just five minutes under optimal conditions. The announcement was made during BYD's recent technology showcase event in China. Along with the new battery, the company also introduced an ultra-fast Flash charging ecosystem designed to dramatically reduce charging times for compatible vehicles.
