New Toll Rules From November 15 For Non-Fastag Users

Starting November 15, drivers passing through national highway toll plazas without a valid FASTag will have to pay double the regular fee if they choose to pay in cash. Those paying through UPI will be charged 1.25 times the normal toll.The change to the toll collection rules was revealed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in a notification about new amendments to the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008. The update sets separate penalty rates for vehicles entering toll plazas without an active or functional FASTag.
