Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that the blending of isobutanol with diesel will soon be scaled up. Gadkari made the announcement while speaking at The India Sugar & Bio-Energy Conference 2025 and stated that work has already started on it reports the Economic Times.Gadkari also confirmed that ethanol blending with petrol has now touched the 20% mark. He added that the government is working on increasing the ethanol blend for sustainable aviation fuel as part of its wider strategy to strengthen India's renewable energy sector.
