Yangwang U9 Track Edition Smashes EV Top Speed Record

Yangwang, BYD's luxury arm, has taken the electric vehicle top speed crown. The Yangwang U9 Track Edition recently recorded a top speed of 472.41 km/h during testing at Germany's ATP proving ground in Papenburg.The Yangwang U9 Track Edition is powered by four 555 kW motors, one at each wheel. Together, the quad motor setup produces 3,019 horsepower, a figure that comfortably eclipses hyper-EVs like the Rimac Nevera and Lotus Evija.
