Maruti Suzuki, the nation's largest carmaker, had a July to remember, with sales touching an all-time high. Maruti's total sales last month including exports stood at 2,41,421 units, up 33.73 percent year-on-year. Domestic sales including LCVs stood at 2,00,123 units, the best-ever figure for a single month.
July 2026 was a stacked month for car launches in India, with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift, ninth-gen Toyota Hilux, Nissan Tekton and Honda ZR-V all entering the market. This month (August 2026) is set to be just as active, with Mahindra, Skoda And MG all set to launch new/facelifted vehicles.
