M K Stalin is all set to take over the reigns of the DMK, with his father and the longest serving president of the party, M Karunanidhi passing away. Karunanidhi had identified Stalin as his political successor. M K Azhagiri is unlikely to play any major role in the party. It may be recalled that he was expelled fro the DMK in 2014.
