Ford GT Mk IV Smashes Petrol Car Green Hell Lap Time

The Ford GT Mk IV track-only supercar has set a lap time of 6 minutes and 15.977 seconds at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, making it the fastest pure-combustion, non-electrified car to lap the circuit known as the Green Hell. The lap was set by Ford factory driver Frédéric Vervisch, a two-time Nürburgring 24 Hours winner.The Ford GT Mk IV lap of the green hell also makes it the fastest American car to lap the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife, surpassing the previous record of 6 minutes and 49.275 seconds set by the 1250hp Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X.
