Government launches National Viral Hepatitis Control Program

The Indian govt has launched the National Viral Hepatitis Control Program, which aims to end viral hepatitis by the year 2030. The govt, through this program, aims to reduce morbidity and mortality caused by the condition, and also increasing awareness and level of treatment. Under the initiative, drugs an diagnostics for Hepatitis B and C will also be provided.

According to a study, insufficient sleep can dramatically increase a driver's risk of being involved in car crashes. The study showed that those who have slept for less than seven of the past 24 hours have higher odds of being in an accident. The risk is greatest for drivers who have slept fewer than four hours, the researchers who conducted the study said.
