Former Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee had passed away on Monday morning, and like he had pledged to the government, his body was donated so that medical students can use it for educational and research purposes. Somnath Chatterjee's family donated his body to the Anatomy Department at the SSKM Hospital. He was 89 years old at the time of passing.
