Root to play in Big Bash League

England captain Joe Root will play for the Sydney Thunder in Australia's Twenty20 Big Bash League from December, however, he won't be able to play next year's IPL.

Root and England teammate Jos Buttler will both play the first half of the BBL season for the Thunder, in a window between England's tour to Sri Lanka and its series against the West Indies.

Danish bank CEO quits over money laundering scandal

Denmark's largest bank Danske Bank chief executive Thomas Borgen resigned on Wednesday after an internal report into allegations of massive money laundering showed 'suspicous transactions'. Borgen said he thought it was the "right thing for all parties" for him to resign. He joined the bank in 1997 and became its CEO in 2013.

Soon 6km Noida road stretch to be "dust-free"!

Noida Authority's horticulture department has started a project to turn the 6-km main road of sectors 74, 75, 76, and 77 into a "dust-free" road by September-end. To eliminate dust, the horticulture department will plant grass on both sides of the road. Authorities have also assured that sectors 35, 90, and 138 will be dust-free by September-end.

Over 18 crore Windows threats detected by Quick Heal Tech in Apr-Jun

Over 18 crore cyber threats have been detected by Security software firm Quick Heal Technologies and its enterprise arm Seqrite in the second quarter of 2018 on Indian computers. According to a joint quarterly threat report released by the firms, more than 18 crore threats were detected on Windows devices of individual and enterprise users between April and June 2018.
