Pakistan: No more first-class air travel by President, Chief Justice

A ban has been imposed by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's newly-appointed Cabinet on first-class air travel by the President, Chief Justice, Senate Chairman and the National Assembly speaker.  Decisions were taken during a second meeting of the federal Cabinet in a week presided over by Khan. Meeting also decided to conduct audit of all mega transport projects.

Ace comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma on Wednesday unveiled the 2nd poster of his first Punjabi production 'Son Of Manjeet Singh'. The film stars Ghuggi, BN Sharma, Karamjit Anmol, Japji Khaira, Damanpreet Singh, Tania, Malkit Rauni and Harby Sangha. The movie directed by Vikram Grover, is slated to release on October 12.

Pakistan has named 'Cake' as its official entry under the 'foreign language film' category for the 91st Oscar Awards. The film, which is directed by Asim Abbasi, is a family drama. Pakistan first submitted 'The Day Shall Dawn' to the Oscars in 1959, but post its 1963 submission, the country's cinema industry went through a rough patch.
