Tata Motors set a new benchmark in September 2025, reporting its highest-ever monthly passenger vehicle sales. Tata Motors sold 60,907 passenger vehicles last month, including 59,667 units in the domestic market, registering a massive 45.3 per cent year-on-year increase.Exports played a role in this record as well, with 1,240 units shipped overseas compared to just 250 units in the same month last year. That surge reflects a 396 per cent rise and underlines Tata's growing presence in international markets.

Japanese two-wheeler giant Honda sold 5,68,164 units in September 2025, registering a 5.44 % YoY growth (29,312 units) over 5,38,852 units in September 2024. Honda's sales also increased in the month-on-month metrics, rising by 6.23 % (33,303 units) compared to August 2025's 5,34,861 units.Domestic sales contributed 5,05,693 units, marking a 2.85 % YoY rise (14,015 units) from the 4,91,678 units sold last year. The export segment performed strongly with 62,471 units, up 32.43 % YoY (15,297 units) compared to 47,174 units in September 2024. Exports accounted for roughly 11 % of total monthly sales.
