Delhi Gets Fully Digital Traffic Challan System

Delhi is rolling out a fully digital, time-bound traffic challan system that tightens enforcement considerably for city motorists. E-challans will be issued in the name of the registered vehicle owner, with a 45-day window to settle or contest the fine.Delivery of the challans works in two ways: the challan reaches the owner's registered mobile number within three days, with a physical notice following in 15 days. All records are maintained on a centralised digital portal, and authorities have advised motorists to keep contact details updated on their licence and vehicle documents.
