British bikemaker Triumph has announced a price cut on its Speed 400 and Speed T4 models ahead of the festive season. The company has reduced prices by up to ₹16,797 despite the recent GST hike on motorcycles above 350cc to 40 per cent.The Speed 400 is now priced at ₹2,33,754 (Ex-showroom), down from the previous ₹2,50,551, a drop of ₹16,797 (down by 6.70 per cent). The Speed 400 series's entry-level Triumph Speed T4 is now available at ₹1,92,539 (ex-showroom), revised from ₹2,06,738, which is a drop of ₹14,199 (down by 6.80 per cent). Triumph and Bajaj had chosen to absorb the increased costs following the GST revision rather than passing them on to customers as they continued to focus on accessibility and maintaining the growth momentum of the Speed 400 range.The Speed 400 and Speed T4 have been key drivers of Triumph's expansion in India. Since FY23-24, monthly sales volumes of the Speed 400 lineup have nearly doubled, helping Triumph make its mark on the mid-size motorcycle category.Speaking on the announcement, Manik Nangia, President, Probiking, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said:"The Speed 400 and Speed T4 have set benchmarks in performance, design, and accessibility. New Toll Rules From November 15 For Non-Fastag Users

Starting November 15, drivers passing through national highway toll plazas without a valid FASTag will have to pay double the regular fee if they choose to pay in cash. Those paying through UPI will be charged 1.25 times the normal toll.The change to the toll collection rules was revealed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in a notification about new amendments to the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008. The update sets separate penalty rates for vehicles entering toll plazas without an active or functional FASTag.

Bajaj Auto Reports 9 % Growth In September 2025

Bajaj Auto recorded a solid 9 per cent year-on-year rise in total sales in September 2025, reaching 5,10,504 units. That comes after it sold 4,69,531 units in September 2024. Month-on-month, Bajaj's sales rose by 22.2 per cent from the 4,17,616 units sold in August.In the two-wheeler category, domestic sales grew 5 per cent. Bajaj sold 2,73,188 two-wheelers in India in September 2025, up from 2,59,333 in the same month last year. Exports also climbed 12 per cent: Bajaj shipped 1,57,665 units abroad, compared to 1,41,156 units the previous year. That made the total two-wheeler sales 4,30,853 units, an 8 per cent gain over 4,00,489 units last September.For commercial vehicles, things were mixed domestically but strong overseas. In India, sales dipped a little-52,064 units versus the 52,554 units sold in September 2024, a drop of 1 per cent. On the export front, the jump was serious: 27,587 units were shipped out, up from 16,488, marking a 67 per cent rise year-over-year. Combined, commercial vehicle sales hit 79,651 units, up 15 per cent from the 69,042 units sold in September last year.Combining both two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, Bajaj's domestic sales in September rose 4 per cent to 3,25,252 units, from the 3,11,887 units in the same month of the prior year. Exports climbed 18 per cent to 1,85,252 units, versus 1,57,644 units a year ago.Looking at April through September 2025 (the first half of the financial year), Bajaj Auto sold a total of 24,05,357 units (domestic plus exports). That is about 4 per cent more than the 23,23,560 units in the same period in 2024.In that stretch, domestic two-wheeler sales declined 8 per cent, dropping to 11,25,920 units from 12,19,298. But exports for bikes saw strong growth at 17 per cent, with 8,91,858 units shipped versus 7,64,827 earlier. That meant total two-wheeler sales across six months edged ahead 2 per cent to 20,17,778 units.For commercial vehicles in this half-year span, domestic sales slightly improved by 1 per cent to 2,49,681 units from 2,48,034. Exports jumped 51 per cent to 1,37,898 units, against 91,401 in the same period last year. Thus total commercial vehicle numbers rose to 3,87,579 from 3,39,435.Altogether in April-September 2025, domestic sales (both two-wheelers and CVs) stood at 13,75,601 units, down about 6 per cent from 14,67,332 units in the same period of 2024. Export sales meanwhile grew by 20 per cent to 10,29,756 units from 8,56,228 units.

Suzuki India Sees 25 % Growth in September

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) reported a strong September performance with total two-wheeler sales of 1,23,550 units, marking a 25 percent year-on-year increase over 99,185 units sold during the same month last year.Domestic sales led the growth, rising 37 percent to 1,05,886 units, compared to 77,263 units in September 2024. Exports, however, saw a dip, dropping to 17,664 units from 21,922 a year earlier as international demand slowed in some markets.

Tata Motors Sells Record 60,907 Cars In September

Honda 2-Wheeler Sales Rise By 5.44%

Japanese two-wheeler giant Honda sold 5,68,164 units in September 2025, registering a 5.44 % YoY growth (29,312 units) over 5,38,852 units in September 2024. Honda's sales also increased in the month-on-month metrics, rising by 6.23 % (33,303 units) compared to August 2025's 5,34,861 units.Domestic sales contributed 5,05,693 units, marking a 2.85 % YoY rise (14,015 units) from the 4,91,678 units sold last year. The export segment performed strongly with 62,471 units, up 32.43 % YoY (15,297 units) compared to 47,174 units in September 2024. Exports accounted for roughly 11 % of total monthly sales.

Royal Enfield Breaks Sales Records In September

Royal Enfield posted a blistering performance in September 2025, hitting its highest ever monthly sales. The Chennai-based bikemaker moved 1,24,328 units, a 43% YoY jump from the 86,978 bikes sold in September 2024.In August 2025, Royal Enfield had sold 1,14,002 units, and September's numbers reflect a 9% MoM increase in sales numbers. Domestically, Royal Enfield sold 1,13,573 bikes in September, which is again a 43% YoY growth. For exports, the tally was 10,755 units, up 41% from the same period in 2024. Compared to August, domestic sales increased by 10.4%, while exports declined by 3.3%.
